Project2 'reinterpret - Material Experiment

Bending experiment of plywood.

19/09 5:00pm - Start soaking
Sheets of Bendy Plywood.
Three ply.

Plywood soaked in hot water.

 20/09 7:00pm -Start bending
Two plywood glued together and bended against a cylinder.

22/09 5:00pm - Finished
wood and glue are dry and they keep the curve.
Gap between wood.

What I learned from the experiment...

- 24h is plenty for soaking. Still a bit too hard to bend at 12h.
- PVA glue doesn't seem the best choice for this job. Takes really long to dry, not good with water, etc.
- Probably need to use single ply wood. easier to bend.
- Need positive and negative mould. One mould can easily get gaps between woods.
- or could use vacuum, so need only on mould.
- The bend radius is small enough for my design.
